You should see what I see!!

There is beauty all around us and you don't have to travel far to find it. I have spent a lifetime learning to be still and photography has helped facilitate my learning of patience. I adore all aspects of the photography process, but my favorite is the actual shoot, itself. When I am out shooting, there is a freedom that cannot be described. It is when I am the most content. Being in the moment, watching, waiting, not reacting, until the perfect moment. My favorite types of photos are the experiences that find me. I can plan a shoot, ensure that the light and camera settings are optimal, but it is the unexpected; the sky color that I wasn't expecting, the sun breaking out, the fog that suddenly lifts, that make the best photos. I relate the photo upload/review process to being a kid at Christmas while opening presents: not knowing what gifts you received, but excited to open them. You remember the list, but are not quite sure if you received the exact item for which you asked.

I created this site so I could share my photos with you, as I have received wonderful feedback from friends, family and the SM photography community.
